Kadiata Kane

Kadiata Kane is a Legal Counsel in the Corporate Affairs division of the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF). She has been with the ALSF since October 2023.

Prior joining the ALSF, Kadiata was a corporate commercial associate at a Canadian Law firm where she assisted start-ups, medium to large businesses, crown corporations and not-for-profit organizations with their general corporate and commercial needs. Her practice mainly focused on advising clients on mergers and acquisitions transactions, financings, and corporate governance reviews.

Kadiata is a member of the Province Ontario Bar. She obtained her LL. B from the University of Orléans (France), a master’s in international and European Law at Paris X Nanterre University (France), an LL.M in Business Law from De Montfort University in Leicester (UK) and an LL.M in American Law from Saint Louis University School of Law (US).
