Gadi Taj Ndahumba is the Head of Power Sector at the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF). He is responsible for the coordination and implementation of ALSF’s transactional support to numerous African governments and utilities for the development, procurement and financing of power sector infrastructure projects. The power sector portfolio currently represents a third of ALSF’s projects and spams across the African continent where its aim to help tackle the energy deficit through conventional and innovative technologies.
Prior to joining the ALSF, Mr. Ndahumba was a financial services lawyer at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, a top-tier Canadian law firm, where he worked on project finance transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. During his time at McCarthy, he advised several leading renewable energy companies which were paving the way toward wind energy as the Canadian electricity market began to diversify its energy sources.
Mr. Ndahumba is a member of the Province of Québec Bar. He holds a Double Degree of Civil Law (B.C.L.) and Common Law (LL.B.) from McGill University, a Bachelor’s degree in political science (international relations) from Université of Québec in Montréal and a certificate in international liberal studies from the University of Waseda in Tokyo. Mr. Ndahumba has also successfully passed all three level exams of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification.
