Capacity Building Officer - Infrastructure & Public Private Partnerships(PPP)

Alphonse Akouyu

Alphonse Akouyu has held the position of Capacity Building Officer - Infrastructure & Public Private Partnerships(PPP) at the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) since October 2024. He has over 8 years' experience working in capacity development programs across Africa. He has worked for the Regional Network of Agricultural Policy Research Institutes(ReNAPRI) Secretariat Zambia, Kiva in Burkina Faso, the Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation Burundi Office, the International Organization for Migration(IOM) Niger office and FHI 360 Cameroon office. Prior to joining the ALSF, Alphonse worked for the Global Center on Adaptation(GCA) as a Program Officer with the Youth Jobs and Entrepreneurship team where he managed the program’s TA support to MDB investment projects in Southern, West, East and North Africa.

Alphonse holds a Master’s Degree in International Development, which was obtained through a fully funded Pears Foundation Scholarship at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, and a B.Sc. in Banking and Finance from the Catholic University of Cameroon (CATUC), Bamenda. He is a YALI (Young African Leaders Initiative) West Africa Cohort 4 Fellow, having completed a five-week leadership program at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
